Manage Device Information setting

The Device Information setting saves a copy of some information from your phone or tablet, including:
  • Contacts
  • Calendars
  • Apps
  • Music
  • Information about the device, like battery level
This information is private. You can only see it when you're signed in to your Google Account.

Turn Device Information on or off

  1. Go to your Activity controls. You might need to sign in to your Google Account.
  2. Turn "Device Information" on or off.
When this setting is on, information may be saved from any device that uses your Google Account.

What's saved in your device information activity

Apps and info stored on your device

This may include things like contact lists, calendars, alarms, apps, and music, and can help Google give you more accurate results and suggestions.
For example, when you ask Google to call a contact, Google can use information from your contacts to give you the best results.

Information about your device

This may include things like whether the screen is on and battery level. The quality of your Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection, touchscreen and sensor readings, and crash reports can also be included.
