You can manage how your apps sync messages, email,
and other recent data in your Google Account. You can change your sync
settings at any time.
Note: Android isn't the same on all devices. These instructions are for devices running Android 6.0 and up. Learn how to check your Android version.
What sync does
When auto-sync is on, your Google apps automatically refresh data, and your device automatically gets notifications about updates.Manually sync your account
Manual sync refreshes your account data for all your Google apps, including any apps with auto-sync turned off.- Open your device’s Settings app .
- Under "Personal," tap Accounts Google. If you have multiple accounts on your device, also tap the account you want.
- Tap More Sync now.
